The pitch
The pitch on a plane is the space between the seats of a row and another. Basically is what separates first class or tourist business. That and the free food.
Some luminaries thought that could get more benefit to getting more people flying and selling more tickets. This aircraft have more rows than they were 5 years ago but in the same cabin. This is achieved by changing the settings. If you do not use seats specially designed for this type of configurations (no recliners, magazines pocket up, etc) are achieved small pitch.
And the small picth is something you notice if you are tall or if you fly long hours. Especially if the front passenger reclining pro gives without asking or if the next is with your legs apart as if stung. And if you carry on luggage under the front seat, can be torture.
