Flights on the map

Have you ever wondered how many are operated in a day? There are many. In the video below you can see an animation that runs throughout the day and displays all commercial (yellow spots).

It is fascinating to see how, before dawn to reach thousands of aircraft throughout Europe and continue on domestic flights in different areas. At night, hundreds of flights from Europe to America ... There are also some loose flying Alex says are drug dealers ...

I would like to see the animation of the 11-S. It must be shocking to see how the flights to / from the U.S. are almost nonexistent. It is said that those 3 days when American air traffic was almost closed, pollution fell dramatically.

The pitch

The on a plane is the space between the seats of a row and another. Basically is what separates first class or tourist business. That and the free food.

Some pundits thought it would get more benefit to more people getting a flight and selling more tickets. That way you have airplanes with more rows than they had for 5 years but in the same cabin. This is achieved by changing the settings. If you do not use seats specially designed for this type of configuration (no recliners, magazines pocket up, etc) get smaller pitch.

And the small picth is something that is noticeable if you are tall or if you fly long hours. Especially if the front passenger reclining pro gives without asking or if the next is with your legs apart as if stung. And if you carry on luggage under the front seat, can be torture.

Who often fly sure you know what I mean. Here you have a Dilbert strip that surely brings back memories to many. Who has not been supported with the laptop on the table, half open, his neck twisted to see the screen ...?

The "user experience" is key to success ...

When summer arrives, the heat in August, vacation, ... So far so good. The problem is when you get to fly to get to your holiday destination and you know that most of the passage is what could be called "non frequent traveler" (SSR NFQTV, IATA is not standard but good).

There is nothing the airline can do to protect one's own passage. For many the means put at your disposal to guarantee a great, there is nothing to do if you have bad luck.

The video below seeks to illustrate this situation, very funny. Do you sound this situation?

PS: one of the videos shown in the Navitaire Customer Conference 2007.
